Rieth Creations llc created this "mountain" of boiled crawfish for a Louisiana Tourism commercial a few years ago.
I'm sorry to spoil the illusion. This isn't a full pile of crawfish, but we can dream. Mmmmm crawfish.
...
A wooden frame was made and covered in window screen painted red. Each crawfish was painstakingly applied with toothpicks, with the legs of the crawfish facing away from the camera. Due to the length of time to make and spoilage, the crawfish mountain was assembled and stored in a rented refrigeration truck until needed on set, think working at the North Pole cold.
